Cathy’s approach is decidedly strategic and is based on disciplined research skills and a comprehensive understanding of business. The rigorous process she applies to client searches produces qualified candidates along with valuable market intelligence to ensure clients make informed decisions.
Cathy has over 20 years of business experience, primarily concentrated in professional services firms. She has conducted searches across a broad range of functional areas and disciplines, including board of director and CEO searches, along with manager searches for both the public and private sectors.
Prior to founding CV Management, Cathy ran her own business research firm providing services to executive search firms. Her executive search experience was gained during four years as a senior consultant at Ray and Berndtson and four years as director of research at Spencer Stuart. Cathy left Spencer Stuart to join a dot.com start-up, wheresfrankie.com, to assist in developing its recruiting revenue model. Prior to Spencer Stuart, Cathy’s early career consisted of 10 years as a business information specialist at McKinsey and Company, preceded by four years as a librarian at Environment Canada.
Cathy has an honours B.A. from Dalhousie University and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario.
